Once you submit the form, you will be notified if you make the cutoff.

Please bring a foldable chair and weather appropriate clothing.  This will not be canceled due to due to weather.

Course Information

This exciting and informative class will cover areas such as handgun selection, mental conditioning, ballistics, homeowner’s rights of protection, and the latest laws and legal updates regarding the use of force as well as reciprocity in other states honoring your Indiana permit.  This will be covered during the classroom presentation on Saturday morning.

Following the presentation, all attendees will head to the firearms training range where you will be assigned a certified range instructor who will show you the proper stance, holster-draw, weapon grip, sight-alignment, trigger pull and other firearms fundamentals.
The date for the course will be Saturday, September 28th, 2019 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All attendees will need to arrive at the T.A.S.C. conference room located at 1619 K Street (located next door to the Bedford Police Department) no later than 7:30 a.m.  Parking will be available on K Street and behind City Hall located at 1102 16th Street.

Do not bring your weapon to the classroom presentation.

Minimum age is 18 and you do not have to possess a permit to attend this training.

The cost is $50.00 per person (cash or check) with all proceeds going to our FOP “Cops and Kids” program.  This program helps to provide Christmas gifts and clothing to underprivileged children within our community.  Lunch will be provided courtesy of the Bedford Police Department.

Each person will be required to have a handgun, an approved holster (see attached), and 200 rounds of ammunition.  Also required will be a baseball cap, eye (prescription or sunglasses acceptable) and ear protection (earplugs are ok).  We also recommend wearing long pants (no shorts), closed-toe shoes, and a shirt with a tight fitting collar to prevent burns from expended shell casings.

Each successful participant will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the day

If you have any questions or are unable to attend the training after signing up, please contact me at 812-275-3311 and ask for Sgt. Wade or you may contact him by email at bwade@bedford.in.us

We look forward to seeing you there.
